Unlike other online booking platforms, Stock Network focuses on closed user groups and not on the open market where other OTA’s operate. This unique marketing and selling method enable us to minimise losses incurred because of low to no occupation of properties during off-season periods.

This means you do not have to discount rates to the open market via your property’s usual operational channels that result in de-valuing your property. The Stock Network system does not interfere with your rankings and does not affect your ADR in the eyes of the OTAs, because it is conducted privately and completely OUTSIDE of the OTA network.In a nutshell, your dead stock is used togenerate revenue without compromising your rankings or de-valuing your property.  We help you to utilize stock which we (and you) know will not usually be sold. You have nothing to lose.

To date we have secured more than 30 closed user group members

which number is increasing rapidly. These closed user groups utilize the space you would almost certainly lose otherwise. You, in turn sell them on at absolute room-cost as determined.

Closed user groups categories:

Members of participating NPO’sbecome part of their closed user group (White Labelled to show it as if it is the only Group in the fold). This gives the members discounted rates which are available ONLY to them and not to the public at large. In addition to this the NPO receives a percentage of the funds generated per transaction, which induces them to improve their database and promote “their” system.

Loyalty Program Organization:

Members of such Loyalty Programs become part of their closed user Group (White Label) which gives them, as members, discounted rates that are only available to them and not to the public (remember that the public sees only what is on offer via the OTAs). In addition to this, the member of the Loyalty Program will receive considerations (points/ bucks/ rands) per transaction towards their loyalty card (Virtual Card), which they can utilise at the subscribing organization outlets.

These organizations sell a membership opportunity to people at an annual or monthly fee, which gives their members great savings on accommodation and other hospitality-related products. In addition to this, the Travel/ Membership Club member will also receive a consideration (points/ bucks/ rands) per transaction towards their Virtual Card which they can use at properties that have enrolled in their program, as well as other services that the Travel Club offers.

The difference this will make

The property’s F&B and other activates on offer become more profitable, which will lessen or even obliterate wastage of food because of not having enough feet through the property restaurant and save money on staffing, who will now be working for their basics AND earning more themselves, as opposed to staff standing around, with no customers to serve.

With the increase of guests, the property will be able to afford more and a better quality of staff and enable better variety offer items on their menu.  Maintaining and creating jobs in this difficult environment for the hospitality industry.

Most importantly, the property will not have been devalued by getting involved in a loss-leading price war, by discounting in the hope (no certainty) that this will improve traction to the property.

By managing your own set of rules of how your unsold stock should be handled by StockNetwork in your stock management app, you will gradually make less time available as customers would like to return after having a great experience and less and less space will become available in the time he would like to travel. He will accordingly be happy to pay a higher price at some time in the future.

You almost double your annual turnover and that is at a cost of 35% of your normal rate.

The average cost per room per day is in normal cases 35% which is your total annual cost of operation divided by 365 days.Your occupation percentage for the year has also moved from 26% to 85% with 312 nights of the year where you now have people in your resort.

StockNetwork settings will enable you as the property owner to:

  • Set the percentage of unsold stock you want to make available to the program.
  • Select date ranges you would like to make available to the program.
  • Select days of the week you want to exclude from the date ranges you set for availability that you made available to the system.
  • Set multiple override dates with different rates for a shorter period within the data range you selected to give to the program.
  • Set min number of days per stay.
  • Set of special rates for length of stays i.e., 2 nights =Rate, 3 nights = Rate-10%, 4 nights =Rate-20% etc.
  • Set different rates as the occupation date gets closer.

Avante Hospitality was founded by Jean Labuschagne in 2004.  Jean has been developing and managing hospitality properties in South Africa and the rest of Africa since 1988.He was joined by Jesse Boynton from the USA in 2008. Jesse has worked in the hospitality industry for 40 years gaining valuable experience from back-office accounting to managing and developing properties. The team was recently joined by Peter Snyman with more than 35 years operational experience and M Drummond who owns and manages several 5-star properties in Africa. Together, the team has 130 years combined experience in the hospitality industry.
